THE VIOLET HOUR by Richard Greenberg, Max & Louis Productions.
Brewster is stunningly portrayed by Monica Parks, whose acting genius shines through with every gesture and every line. It soon becomes apparent that Seavering and Brewster are having a torrid love affair, which places poor Seavering in the untenable position of having to choose between his college buddy and his lover.

2012 St. Louis Jewish Light
These are some great young actors to watch, while your ears exult in the equally great writing of Richard Greenberg's 2003 play. It all combines to create a beautiful feeling of madness—not up there on the stage, where things do get pretty horrifying, but in the audience, once a terrible storm is past...
The young publisher's secret relationship with a black singer provides a bracing sense of defiance against the racial rules of 1919, and Monica Parks (as singer Jessie Brewster) has many delicious moments where she tries to measure the depth of the ice she's skating on, in her affair with Mr. Pannebecker's character. Watching Ms. Parks, you get the distinct impression she's not entirely sure she's made the right decision in trusting a very young publisher with her memoir, or trusting him with herself either.

TALKIN' BROADWAY
Under the direction of Sydnie Grosberg Ronga, the first act feels a little slow as the cast carefully delineates these characters (Only Parks, every inch the glamorous Jessie Brewster from the moment she pulls off her long gloves with a self-assertive flourish, arrives fully fledged.)

THE AMEN CORNER by James Baldwin, Shaw Festival Theatre
The Shaw Festival has gathered a stellar cast for The Amen Corner....Over the course of the action Monica Parks's Sister Moore metamorphoses from meddling churchgoer who is overproud of her sexual purity to the merciless leader of the faction that wants to oust Margaret for her impurity. Parks manages Sister Moore's transformation from foolish woman to tyrant with such finesse we can hardly believe it is happening.

STAGE DOOR REVIEW
THE MOST IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE COMES FROM SISTER MOORE.. - THE CARIBBEAN CAMERA Review of the Amen Corner.....
The most impressive and memorable performance comes from Monica Parks who plays Sister Moore. Monica totally immerses herself in the relatable character of Sister Moore to the point she 'becomes' Sister Moore - the holier-than-thou-ever-righteous-church-goer who, from the start of the play, it becomes obvious that she wants to achieve more for herself and from the church.
